In Iceland, there is a threshold for the tax-free value of imported goods, which is 2000 ISK (about 14 euros). This means that if the total declared value of your goods is below this threshold, you will not be subject to any import taxes. However, if the value of the shipment exceeds this figure, you will have to pay import tax of 24% on the amount above the threshold.
Let's say the declared value of your shipment is 2500 ISK. In this case, the amount over the non-taxable threshold is ISK 500. The 24% import tax on this excess amount would be ISK 120.

In addition to taxes and duties, it is important to remember that there are bans on bringing certain categories of goods into Iceland for security and economic protection reasons.
