Customs clearance of parcels from Germany

Both Ukraine and Germany have legal regulations that may prohibit or restrict the export/import of certain things. This list may be updated and supplemented, so you need to keep it up to date. In addition, there may be restrictions on the number of goods to be shipped. 

Moreover, we would like to note that different categories of goods may have different rules for importation and customs clearance. For example, we are often asked to import samples. This can be done in completely different ways, taking into account the status of the recipient and the purpose of importation. Proper clearance saves our clients valuable time and money on customs procedures.

The same applies to sending documents from Germany to Ukraine. If it concerns something valuable, you should not hope for luck and send it without understanding the risks of loss and violation of safety. Our clients' documents are always insured and within two weeks they receive a compensation payment of 300 euros in case of loss of the parcel (the amount of payment may vary depending on the insurance conditions).

The list of required documents depends on what you are importing into Ukraine, in what volume and who is the recipient of the parcel (individual or legal entity). Of all the possible lists, and what we constantly emphasize to our clients, it is necessary to emphasize the customs declaration. It should be filled out very carefully and thoughtfully. 

When we lead the delivery, we check these nuances, as well as prepare documents so that you can print them out and hand them over to the courier service. It is very important that in the case of several products in the parcel, you indicate each of them (description and price). In our practice, there have been many times when the client was negligent in filling out the documents and to receive the parcel he had to go to customs, unpack the receipt, and declare it correctly. 

According to today's regulations, goods that cost less than 150 euros are not subject to customs clearance. This situation may change soon, so stay tuned or contact us for advice before you clear your parcel.
 
To clear goods over 150 euros or with a special customs status, you may need the following documents:

• Invoice.
• Special declaration of prices for excisable goods.
• Record card of the subject of foreign economic activity.
• Documents to determine the customs value of goods.
• Documents informing about the country of origin of goods.
• Documents required to determine the code of goods UKTVED.
• Documents for application of preferential taxation regime.
• Expert opinion on the cultural and material value of goods (applicable to various items of art).
• Specific documents: certificate of sanitary-epidemiological, veterinary, quarantine, phytosanitary, environmental or radiological control.
• Documents confirming the payment of fees, and customs payments.
