Rules for sending parcels and freight to Cyprus

• Your goods must be approved for international shipment in Ukraine and Cyprus. You can find out the list of prohibited goods from our manager, from the carrier, from the customs office, or on the Internet.
• If your goods are banned or restricted for shipment to other countries, you will not be able to ship them, and in some cases, you may face fines and legal action.
• If your goods are included in a special register – you may be asked to provide an opinion on the origin of the goods, their technical description and purpose, as well as an expert opinion on the possibility of their exportation from the country.
• If you have not specified the goods in the accompanying documents or specified the wrong quantity, depending on the content, you may be issued a protocol of violation of customs rules and confiscate the parcel, both in Ukraine and in Cyprus.

Track parcels and freight DHL, UPS, FedEx and TNT

Once you've booked delivery of parcels or cargo from Ukraine to Cyprus you need to know the tracking number to track the parcel. 

By going to the site of courier service, which delivers your parcel, you can track its exact location:

If you use the services of an intermediary, when sending parcels and freight from Ukraine, then you can find out why it is not traced to its destination, you can ask the representative of the logistics company.

Documents required to send a parcel from Ukraine to Cyprus

The list of documents is individual and based on the specifics of the goods, the place where you ordered it, and your legal status.

• Passport details.
• TIN.
• Accreditation card of the legal entity (LLC, PE, etc.).
• Contract, invoice, product specifications, packing list.
• Permit to export samples of some or other goods, if required.

To send an international parcel by an individual in Ukraine, the following documents are required:

• Passport, TIN code, or other documents confirming the identity of the recipient. For non-Ukrainian citizens only a passport.
• Checks or printouts from the site where the cost of purchase is indicated.
• Bill of lading and an invoice for the parcel – this can be obtained at the reception desk of the carrier or electronically by mail.
• Export declaration for legal entities.
• For companies with an invoice of up to 150 Euros the customs clearance on application.
• Natural persons up to 10 000 Euros clearance at the request, over the customs declaration.

Customs duties are not paid when exporting from Ukraine to Cyprus. 

The total cost of delivery may include:

• Courier services (FedEx, UPS, TNT, DHL can be calculated on the website of the carrier or agent).
• Customs clearance (for individuals and legal entities is a different order of customs clearance).
• Insurance for the parcel.

An example of the calculation of delivery for parcels weighing 10 kg with dimensions of 50*20*20 cm:

Let's calculate the volumetric weight in cm: 50 * 20 * 20 = 20000 / 5000 = 4 kg  

The cost of delivery calculation will be by the actual weight of 10 kg 

You choose the service delivery: express or economy. 

Insurance is usually 1% of the price. 

Packaging is at the expense of the sender.

Article 235. Prohibitions and restrictions on the transfer (sending) of certain types of goods in international postal and express consignments

Movement of the following goods shall be prohibited:

• Goods prohibited by this Code and other legislative acts of Ukraine in accordance with the importation into or exportation from the customs territory of Ukraine.
• Goods sent in violation of customs regulations.
• Goods for which there are no relevant permits in applying non-tariff regulation measures of foreign economic activity.
• Goods that, based on the results of the types of control specified in the first paragraph of Article 319 of this Code, may not be let through the customs border of Ukraine.
• Goods (clothes, shoes, etc.) that have been used and are in a dirty condition, which by their characteristics may pose a danger to postal workers, without documents on the performed fumigation.
• Goods falling under groups 1-24 of the UCG FEA are transported (sent) to citizens, except for food products with a total weight not exceeding 10 kilograms in the manufacturer's package.

Prohibited for transport:

• Live animals (including but not limited to mammals, reptiles, fish, invertebrates, amphibians, insects, or birds).
• Hunting trophies (animals), animal parts such as ivory and shark fins, animal remains, or animal by-products or derivatives not intended for human consumption that is prohibited for movement by the CITES Convention or local law.
• Human remains or ashes in any form.
• Precious metals in bullion.
• Cash (current legal tender as banknotes, bills, coins), traveler's checks, and activated credit cards.
• Precious and semi-precious stones in loose form (whether processed or unprocessed).
• Complete firearms, ammunition, explosives, and explosive devices, including inert explosives or test samples, air guns, replicas, or imitations of firearms or ammunition.
• Illicit goods such as illegal drugs, including but not limited to narcotic stimulants, depressants, or hallucinogens. Cannabis or its derivatives.

It is prohibited to import/export items whose transportation is prohibited by law, regulation, or statute of any state or local government of the country to which or through which the shipment may travel.
